Princess Eugenie makes a special appearance for charity

Princess Eugenie has taken a break from preparing for the birth of her first child to make a virtual appearance for her charity Anti-Slavery Collective.

Eugenie, 30, dialled in to join friend and co-founder Julia de Boinville for The Goals House January Dialogues, aiming to bring together influential figures working towards sustainable development goals.

The pair shared a snap on Instagram of their chat with the co-founder of Project Everyone, Gail Gallie, discussing the issue of modern slavery. The royal mum-to-be looked happy and healthy, wearing a black jumper and embellished headband. Only her head and shoulders were visible on the call, the royal keeping her stomach - and likely baby bump - out of view.

"Our Co-founders, HRH Princess Eugenie and Julia de Bonville, were delighted to join Goals House today for their January Dialogues," the caption read.

Eugenie and Julia started the Anti-Slavery Collective in 2017 after becoming concerned about modern slavery during a trip to India. Through the charity they aim to raise awareness about issues of human trafficking.

In October, the pair paid a visit to a Salvation Army safe house to highlight modern slavey and the work being done to help victims.

Photos of the visit were shared next to the caption: "In honour of #AntiSlaveryDay, earlier this week our co-founders HRH Princess Eugenie and Julia de Boinville visited a @salvationarmyuk safe house for a socially distanced visit with modern slavery survivors and staff members."

Eugenie and husband Jack Brooksbank will welcome their first child in mid-February, according to Hello!, with the couple settling into Frogmore Cottage ahead of the birth.

In an Instagram post sharing the pregnancy news last year, the couple indicated the baby was due in early 2021, with Eugenie working throughout her pregnancy.

In October the princess was announced as the Royal Patron of the UK's Scoliosis Association, a cause very close to her heart. Eugenie was born with scoliosis, undergoing major surgery when he was just 12.

Eugenie proudly displays her surgery scar, including on her wedding day in 2018 through her choice of a gown with a low back.
