Princess Eugenie gives rare glimpse of football fan son August

Princess Eugenie has given a rare glimpse of her son August ahead of England taking on Spain in the final of Euro 2024.

The royal posted a photo of August, three, carefully colouring in a drawing of the England flag using a large red marker.

The boy has almost completed the task.

"Making our flags ready for the big game tonight," Eugenie wrote in the caption.

"Let me know in the comments where you are watching the game."

The royal mum of two ended the post by saying: "Good luck @england you've made us all so proud #euros."

She also posted throwback video of August wearing a Three Lions baby onesie, writing: "Throwback to a baby Augie. Wishing @england the best of luck tonight #euros."

England lost the Euro 2024 final against Spain 2-1.

Prince William and his eldest son Prince George, 10, travelled to Germany where they watched the game alongside Spain's King Felipe and his daughter Infanta Sophia, 16.

William took to the stage for the presentation, shaking hands with both teams and offering his condolences for the loss on social media.

"This time it just wasn't meant to be," he wrote.

It was a busy weekend for the British royals with the Princess of Wales attending the men's singles final of Wimbledon with her daughter Princess Charlotte, nine.

This was the second time Catherine, 42, has seen since staring cancer treatment earlier this year.

She also attended Trooping the Colour, the annual celebration of King Charles' birthday on June 15.
