Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank announce they're expecting their third child together

Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank are expecting their third child together.

Buckingham Palace made the announcement on Monday evening, saying her uncle, King Charles, is "delighted" with the news.

"Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their third child together, due this summer," the announcement read.

"August (aged 5) and Ernest (aged 2) are also very excited to have another sibling join the family.

"His Majesty The King has been informed and is delighted with the news."

Eugenie, 36, also shared a photo of her two children holding a photo of the ultrasound, which she captioned: "Baby Brooksbank due 2026! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️👶🏻♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️."

Their child will be 15th in line to the throne, ahead of Eugenie's great uncle the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Edward.

The news comes just hours after Eugenie broke her social media silence after 24 weeks to share a post celebrating her husband's 40th birthday.

"Happy 40th my love," the royal captioned the sweet set of snaps.

One depicted her long-time love laying on a beach at an undisclosed location, while another showed him playing with one of the pair's two sons.

Princess Eugenie and her sister Princess Beatrice, 37, have both been keeping low profiles amid their father making headlines over his ties to late convincted peadophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Formerly Prince Andrew, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was recently stripped of his royal title and was moved out of the Royal Lodge.

The scandal is now overshadowing the day to day work of the royal family, prompting King Charles to recently declare his "profound concern at allegations which continue to come to light" concerning Andrew's "conduct".

Andrew was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office in February and released under investigation. He has always denied any wrongdoing.

Their mother, former Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, has stayed out of the public eye since October 2025 when emails from her to Epstein, in which she called him a "supreme friend" and even asked him to employ her, were revealed.

She has only been seen on very rare occasions since, most recently in April when she was seen at a luxury ski resort in the Austrian Alps.
