Live coverage: Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s royal wedding

The second royal wedding of 2018 has wrapped up, with Princess Eugenie of York saying “I do” to wine merchant Jack Brooksbank.

The event came nine months after the couple, who have dated for seven years, publicly announced their engagement at Buckingham Palace.

Like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle before them, Eugenie and Jack elected to wed at St George’s Chapel in the grounds of Windsor Castle.

11:50PM AEST: The royal family has releases pictures of the couple's wedding cake

The red velvet and chocolate cake, made by designer Sophie Cabot, is inspired by the colours of autumn, and features colourful leaves.

10:12PM AEST: The carriage procession around Windsor is underway

Wedding guests are filing out of St George's Chapel as Eugenie and Jack travel through Windsor in a horse-drawn carriage, greeting well-wishers lining the streets.

The couple's route is a shorter version of that undertaken by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after their wedding ceremony.

Due to the blustery conditions, Eugenie and Jack have opted for the Scottish State Coach, which has a covered top.

Their teeny-tiny bridal party diligently waved them off.

9:58PM AEST: The newlyweds have emerged - and kissed on the West Steps

Eugenie and Jack have beamed as they walked out of St George's Chapel as wife and husband, treating the waiting crowds to a sweet kiss on the steps.

They are now embarking on their horse-drawn carriage procession through Windsor.

9:15PM AEST: The ceremony is underway

There have been dewy eyes and sweet moments galore as Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank exchange vows.

The bride and groom are affectionately running their thumbs over one another's hands, seemingly to calm one another's nerves.

Princess Beatrice, the maid of honour, has just read an extract from The Great Gatsby, and there have been performances by singer Andrea Bocelli.

8:57PM AEST: The bride is here

A radiant Princess Eugenie has arrived at Windsor Castle accompanied by her father, Prince Andrew.

The Princess of York is wearing a long-sleeved bridal gown with a V-shaped neckline, "folded" shoulders, a low back and a full train.

Eugenie's gown is designed by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos. The fabric includes floral motifs that are meaningful to the 28-year-old, including a thistle for Scotland and the York rose.

The bride has completed her bridal look with the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara, a stunning diamond and emerald headpiece lent to her by the Queen, and diamond and emerald earrings.

Unlike the most recent royal brides, Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton, Eugenie is not wearing a veil.

Just like her guests, the princess battled some wind resistance as she walked up the West Steps into St George's chapel, but Dad did his best to help, holding her train out of the way.

8:55PM AEST: The groom is already welling up

Awaiting his bride inside St George's Chapel, Jack Brooksbank is clearly emotional - removing his glasses to wipe away a few tears.

He is joined by his brother and best man, Thomas Brooksbank.

8:50PM AEST: The Queen and Prince Philip are the last royals to arrive before the bride

As per tradition, Queen Elizabeth II is the last member of the Royal Family to arrive ahead of the bride.

Reports this week suggested Prince Philip would decide "on the day" whether or not to attend his granddaughter's wedding; evidently, he was feeling up to it.

8:45PM AEST: The (adorable) bridal party steal the show

Important news: Prince George and Princess Charlotte are in the house. (Well, chapel.)

Princess Eugenie's bridesmaids and pageboys made for an adorable sight as they climbed the stairs to St George's Chapel, with three-year-old Charlotte skipping merrily all the way - and waving, of course.

One of the pageboys took a little tumble on his way up, but recovered swiftly.

8:36PM AEST: The mother and sister of the bride are here

Sarah Ferguson and her eldest daughter Princess Beatrice - who is serving as Maid of Honour for her younger sister - are beaming as they walk into St George's Chapel, dressed in striking emerald green and royal blue respectively. 

Beatrice is wearing Ralph & Russo, the same label that designed the dress Meghan Markle wore in her official engagement portraits with Prince Harry.

8:35PM AEST: The groom arrives

Jack Brooksbank has given the crowd a big smile as he arrives at St George's Chapel.

8:20PM AEST: The royals are rolling in

We're getting down to the business end of things now, as members of the Royal Family arrive at Windsor Castle. 

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been spotted, with Catherine looking glorious in a magenta dress by Alexander McQueen, the fashion house that created her own wedding gown.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have also arrived, returning to the scene of their own Royal Wedding on May 19.

Like Kate, Meghan has opted to wear a navy dress and coat by the designer behind her wedding gown, Givenchy.

Catherine's sister Pippa Middleton, who is currently pregnant with her first child, has also arrived, accompanied by husband James Matthews and brother James Middleton.

There was speculation that Pippa's due date would fall somewhere around the day of the royal wedding, causing Catherine to miss the occasion so she could be there for her sister.

Alas...

Prince Edward, Sophie, Countess of Wessex and their son James, Viscount Severn are there, as are Princess Anne, Zara Tindall and Mike Tindall.

8:00PM AEST: The A-listers are arriving

Eugenie and Jack's wedding is turning out to be an even more A-list event than perhaps expected.

Celebrity arrivals so far include supermodels Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Cara Delevingne, and Hollywood actresses Liv Tyler and Demi Moore.

Australian actress Holly Candy (formerly Valance), TV host Stephen Fry, and pop stars Ricky Martin and Ellie Goulding have also been spotted in the crowd.

British singer Robbie Williams is accompanied by wife Ayda Field Williams and his mother-in-law, whose hat fell victim to the blustery conditions and blew clean off her head.

Williams' daughter Theodora is part of the bridal party, along with Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

James Blunt, who served in the army with Prince Harry, has also shown up for his second royal wedding of the year.

7:45PM AEST: A wild and windy wedding

Eugenie and Jack's wedding guests are facing some rather gusty winds as they arrive at Windsor Castle.

Top hats and fascinators are flying as far as the eye can see, while hemlines are fluttering.

Two guests have even been spotted adjusting a tree outside St George's Chapel that's been knocked about in the gale.

7:25PM: High-profile guests are arriving

Prince Harry's ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy has been spotted among the early arrivals, along with Charlie van Straubenzee and his new wife Daisy.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the couple's wedding earlier this year.

Pixie Geldof, daughter of Bob Geldof, has also turned heads in a vibrant draped pink ensemble.

6:45PM AEST: Another royal guest is out of the running

There may be yet another royal guest absent from the proceedings at Windsor Castle today, making three in total.

According to Daily Express royal correspondent Richard Palmer, Princess Alexandra - a cousin of Queen Elizabeth II - will not be attending the wedding due to a broken arm.

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall will also be absent from the event due to a series of official engagements in Scotland she had scheduled in before the royal wedding date was confirmed.

It's believed Prince Edward, the Duke of Kent - another of Her Majesty's cousins - is also unable to attend the ceremony, but is expected to make an appearance for the evening reception.

After a quiet start to the morning, the trickle of royal fans gathering on the streets of Windsor is gradually increasing.

While prominent wedding guests are yet to arrive, citizens who won the ballot to stand within the grounds of Windsor Castle for the wedding are getting prepared.

Thoughtfully, the marrying couple have included a giant chocolate coin and shortbread for their well-wishers to snack on, and a poncho to cover them in the event of rain.

5:25PM AEST: Windsor awakes to Royal Wedding 2.0

Windsor is really putting on a show for Eugenie and Jack, with a beautiful pink sunrise blossoming - and even a rainbow, as captured by 9Honey's UK correspondent Karishma Sarkari:

Though its streets will undoubtedly be lined with well-wishers later in the day, the town is currently looking rather quiet: 

However, a small number of dedicated royal fans are beginning to assemble outside the castle grounds, decked out in the obligatory Union Jack paraphernalia.

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank were pictured arriving at Windsor Castle on Thursday, the eve of their wedding, for the event's rehearsal.

The pair have also given a final pre-wedding interview to ITV - the channel broadcasting the event live in the UK - detailing the first time they met and their impressions of one another.

While both admit their nerves are "creeping" ahead of the event, the bride-to-be says there's "never" a chance of cold feet.

"It was love at first sight, that's why," she adds.
