Lip readers believe they have discovered what Prince William and Prince Harry said to each other in the moments after their grandfather's funeral.

As members of the royal family began to leave St George's Chapel following the service on Saturday, eyes turned to William and Harry.

The brothers stood together outside the Galilee Porch and had a few moments of reflection.

It was a moment seen by many to be a thawing of relations between William and Harry, who have been at odds for more than a year.

Prince Philip's funeral was believed to be the first time William and Harry had seen each other in person since March 2020.

Then, Prince Harry and Meghan took part in their final royal event at the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey.

And in March this year the Sussexes made several damning allegations against the royal family in their interview with Oprah Winfrey, including claims racist comments were made about their son's skin colour.

They were joined by Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury, who gave a blessing during the funeral.

Prince William later said to his brother, "Absolutely beautiful service, ah, the music", according to interpreters, reports The Express.

It was Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, who first appeared to engage in conversation with her brother-in-law.

Seconds later William, Duke of Cambridge, joined his wife and brother and the Archbishop of Canterbury before they began the walk up Chapel Hill towards the State Apartments of Windsor Castle for the wake.

Prince William and Prince Harry spoke together for several minutes as they made the solemn journey towards the castle having attended the funeral of their beloved "grandpa".

In diplomatic style Kate quickened her pace to walk ahead of the brothers, allowing them to talk together.

Earlier, Prince William and Harry had walked together behind Prince Philip's hearse in the official procession.
