William and Kate's upcoming trip is 'the most complex' Royal Tour they've ever done

Prince William and Kate Middleton's upcoming Royal Tour is set to be "the most complex tour" ever undertaken by couple.

New details of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's first joint trip to Pakistan later this month have been released from Kensington Palace.

The tour will cover 1,000 kilometres and the Royals will visit the capital of Islamabad, the city of Lahore, as well as mountainous regions in the North and the border regions in the West.

The Duke and Duchess will visit a number of programmes focusing on empowering youth, particularly in the areas of education for girls and young women.

"The Duke and Duchess are looking forward to spending time meeting young Pakistanis, and hearing more about their aspirations for the future," the statement says.

They will also speak with members in the community about how they're dealing with climate change, as well as meeting with conservationists.

During their four-day tour, Prince William and Kate will also meet with business leaders, government officials and sports stars along the way.

Given the security considerations around such an action-packed tour, this has been hailed by the Palace as "the most complex tour undertaken by The Duke and Duchess to date".

Ahead of their tour, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this week visited The Aga Khan Centre in London, for an event hosted by His Highness The Aga Khan, 82.

The couple met with children, dancers, DJs and even a chef - to whom Kate admitted she is looking forward to the food on tour and is a fan of spicy curries.
