Prince William gets surprise support from Diana family members at awards night

The Prince of Wales has received some glamorous support at the Centrepoint Awards in London in the form of his socialite cousins, Lady Kitty Spencer, Lady Amelia Spencer and Lady Eliza Spencer.

The trio are related to Prince William from his mother Princess Diana's side of the family; they are the children of Diana's brother, Earl Charles Spencer.

The royal nieces were dressed to the nines for the prestigious event, choosing complementary gowns based on an ice blue palette.

Lady Kitty Spencer shared photos from the event on social media.

"So proud to have been an ambassador for @centrepointuk for the past 8 years," she wrote.

"A phenomenal charity doing remarkable things to put an end to youth homelessness."

Lady Kitty Spencer also presented an award at the event.

Prince William is patron of Centrepoint, following in his late mother's footsteps. The organisation works to transform the lives of young people experiencing homelessness.

"As Centrepoint's Patron for almost 20 years, it has always been a great privilege to meet the young people that they, and their partners, support," Prince William said in part, referring to his affiliation with the organization since 2005.

"Tonight is no exception.

"I am inspired by the ambition and commitment of all the award winners and nominees this evening.

"You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves.

"What inspires me the most about the young people here this evening is that they have not only overcome homelessness to achieve their personal ambitions, but they are also all contributing to the communities in which they live — be that through teaching, fundraising or volunteering."

"While homelessness is, of course, a complex societal issue, I passionately believe that it can, and should, be ended," he said.

Princess Beatrice and husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi also reportedly attended the event held at the British museum.
