Prince Harry's visit signals he is 'repairing relationship' with father Prince Charles, expert claims
Prince Harry's surprise visit to the UK to meet with the Queen and Prince Charles could signify a new dawn for the father-and-son duo.
According to royal biographer Phil Dampier, the Duke of Sussex's secret palace meeting was his way of trying to "rebuild some bridges" with the royal family – but one key member was missing from the equation.
"I think Harry has realised that it looked very bad that he didn't come to Prince Philip's memorial service and perhaps he's having second thoughts about how he's been playing things," he told The Sun.

"Most of all I'm sure Charles was happy as I'm sure he would like to repair their relationship. This seems to have been the first tentative step."
Dampier said it "would have been nice" if Harry had met with Prince William during his whirlwind sojourn to the UK with wife Meghan Markle.
William is currently on a skiing holiday with his wife Kate Middleton and the couple's three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
The deepening rift between the brothers hit fever pitch after Harry and Meghan sat down for a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021.

Harry has only seen his brother once since the explosive talk show aired when he flew back to the UK for Prince Philip's funeral.
During the interview, Harry said his Charles and William were "trapped" in their royal duties and said his relationship with his brother was one of "space".
William responded to the Oprah chat by telling reporters, "We're very much not a racist family", however, has not publicly spoken about a rift between himself and Harry.

Meghan and Harry made a secret visit to Windsor Castle to meet with the Queen and Prince Charles before jetting off to the Netherlands for the 2022 Invictus Games.
Onlookers were shocked to see the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the grounds after the Easter Maundy Service, with churchgoers claiming they smiled and waved at royal fans.
"They looked happy and relaxed and waved to everyone on the bus. Charles and the Queen were at Windsor Castle at the same time so they must have met them both," one person told the publication.
This week's shock visit marks the first time the couple has made a joint trip to the UK since March 2020.
