As Prince Harry steps onto the path to reconciliation with his father, King Charles III, the same can't be said for his relationship with his older brother Prince William.

While the Duke of Sussex, 40, and the monarch, 76, had peace talks recently with their aides as representatives, many noted that William, 43, was not represented at the "summit".

"I think that Harry's relationship with his brother is a different beast than his relationship with his father," royal expert Kristen Meinzer says.

"But perhaps if Charles warms more to Harry, William will feel compelled to follow his lead," she told Us Weekly,

It comes as Prince Harry recently hit back at claims that he is concerned about his brother's future rise to power when he becomes king.

The Duke of Sussex's was accused of being "seriously worried" about Prince William banishing him from the UK when he becomes king, according to an interview in The Mirror with royal author Tom Bower.

He alleged William's future role has placed major concerns in Harry's mind.

"Harry is seriously worried that when his father dies one day, William will literally banish him and he will have no status in Britain at all," Bower told the publication.

However, Harry's team spoke out against the statement, saying Harry's interests are in reconciling with his estranged brother and dad.

"It's funny how the people who know the least about him always have the most to say," a spokesperson for the royal told GB News.

However, former press spokesperson to Queen Elizabeth II, Dickie Arbiter, has said he isn't buying Harry's reconciliation with King Charles at all, claiming that the whole thing was simply "set up".

Arbiter told Weekend Today that the meeting was due to Harry recently telling the BBC in an interview that his father "won't speak to him", adding that he wants a reconciliation because he doesn't know how long his father has got.

"Now, that's a pretty poor thing to say," Arbiter said.

"It's bad enough to say if you're just a private person, but if you're a member of the royal family or a sort of ex member of the royal family in exile, and you're saying it on a national network on BBC, and it spins right around the world, it's a pretty poor show."
