Prince Harry reportedly isn't a fan of Meghan Markle's suits

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are busy preparing for their first ever Australian visit as a married couple but there's one detail that's reportedly causing a few issues.

The Duke of Sussex is said to be a little unhappy about the clothes his wife will wear during the trip Down Under.

It's been reported by the Daily Mail that Meghan has ordered a "range of designer suits—and even a tuxedo—to wear" for their October visit, to coincide with the Invictus Games.

The Prince is said to have "given the thumbs-down to a masculine Stella McCartney tuxedo suit" chosen by Meghan to wear for an evening event.

The publication claims a fashion team recently visited Kensington Palace, with a source saying, "Meghan is being told she needs to stop dressing like a Hollywood star and start dressing like a Royal".

Indeed, Meghan's working wardrobe is very different to that of sister-in-law Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge.

Meghan has carved out her own look, frequently wearing wide-leg trousers and fitted, ankle-length pants.

For her Wimbledon debut, the Duchess of Sussex wore white wide-leg Ralph Lauren trousers, while Kate opted for a knee-length dress, tights and nude heels.

During her recent visit to Dublin with Prince Harry, Meghan chose a black Givenchy suit for one of their events.

And back in February, before the Royal Wedding, Meghan wore a tailored Alexander McQueen suit to the Endeavour Awards in London.

It's highly likely Prince Harry has given Meghan some wardrobe pointers ahead of their Australian tour, considering he's been Down Under and knows the climate. But whether we believe Harry would actually step in and offer fashion advice to his stylish wife, we’re not so sure.

The Duke has been nothing but supportive of Meghan’s choices since she arrived in his world. Plus, we all know Harry has a defiant streak, much like his late mother, Princess Diana who marched to her own beat and won hearts across the world in the process.   

All royal tours require months of planning, with the wardrobe carefully planned to reflect the country and weather at the time of the visit.

But Meghan is surrounded by palace aids and advisors including Australian-born Samantha Cohen, who gave the 36-year-old 'duchess lessons' prior to her wedding, having moved across from Buckingham Palace where she worked since 2001.

So, one can assume the new Duchess of Sussex will be appropriately dressed when she visits Australia for the first time, later this year.
