Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have come together to combat cyberbullying.

On behalf of their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, the Sussexes thanked the winners for their work.

"Thank you for doing everything that you do, our kids especially are incredibly grateful," the Duke of Sussex said into the phone, which was on speakerphone mode between the pair.

"They don't know it yet but they will," the Duchess of Sussex added.

The 26 winners were from US youth-led initiatives and will each receive $US2 million ($3.8 million) "to support their efforts to build a more inclusive, equitable, and accountable online world".

The money comes from a number of sponsors, including The Archewell Foundation, which is a founding member of the initiative and serves on the advisory committee.

"This is exactly why we do what we do," Harry said when hearing about how the money will help one of the winners' efforts against cyberbullying.

The clip marks their first joint public appearance in three months, after their May visit to the Women in Vision awards in New York ended in what the couple described as a "near catastrophic car chase".

The display of unity came after rumours the couple were focusing on separate projects moving forward and not working together.

There were also recently reports of their marriage being on the rocks, which were quickly rubbished by those close to the couple.
