'We are proud to stand beside you': Archewell staff praise Harry's memoir in statement

Prince Harry has received warm praise for the success of his memoir Spare from employees of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's foundation.

The News section of the Archewell website features a link that reads, "Congratulations Prince Harry."

"A huge congratulations to Prince Harry on the release of his memoir, Spare. As your team, we are proud to stand beside you, and celebrate you as the world finally hears your story in your words," the statement reads.

"Thank you for your courage, honesty, humor, and light. You've inspired us all."

The duke released Spare on January 10, the book quickly becoming a best-seller, moving 1.4 million copies on its first day of publication.

The book came shortly after the release of the Prince Harry and Meghan's much-anticipated Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan.

The message from Archewell staff comes amid continuing claims of bully by members of the couple's former staff in the UK.

Reports Meghan was bullying staff in the UK allegedly led Prince William to confront his brother in 2019, the altercation shared in Harry's memoir.

According to the book, William physically attacked Harry in 2019 in the kitchen of his London home, Nottingham Cottage.

Harry claims William began by calling Meghan "difficult", "rude" and "abrasive", before he launched at his younger brother, resulting in Harry sustaining back injuries after landing on a dog bowl on the floor.

Days later, claims Meghan had bullied staff were made public. The duchess has strongly denied these accusations.

"The Duchess is saddened by this latest attack on her character, particularly as someone who has been the target of bullying herself and is deeply committed to supporting those who have experienced pain and trauma," a spokesperson for Meghan said at the time.

"She is determined to continue her work building compassion around the world and will keep striving to set an example for doing what is right and what is good."

An investigation into the allegations by Buckingham Palace took place, with the findings buried and report never made public.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to return to the UK to attend King Charles' coronation on May 6 and again for the WellChild Awards in September. It isn't known if they will bring their children Archie, three, and Lilibet, one, with them.
