Prince Harry is 'way more comfortable' with The Crown than news coverage of his family
Prince Harry has spoken candidly about Netflix's The Crown in a new interview, saying it's not "strictly accurate" but that it gives a "rough idea" of the reality of royal life.
The Duke of Sussex told Late Late Show host James Corden the hit popular drama was "obviously fiction" but "loosely based on the truth".

"They don't pretend to be news," he said frankly during the pair's 17-minute interview, filmed aboard an open-top bus in Los Angeles.
"But it gives you a rough idea of what that lifestyle, the pressures of putting duty and service above family and everything else, what can come from that."

While numerous royals have spoken about the Netflix series, Harry is the most high-profile member of the family to address it.

"I'm way more comfortable with The Crown than I am seeing the stories written about my family or my wife or myself," he added.
"That is obviously fiction, take it how you will, but this is being reported on as fact. I have a real issue with that."

When asked which actor he thought he should portray him, Harry suggested Billions and Homeland star Damian Lewis.

Corden approved, telling him, "Damian Lewis is a great shout! I think Damian Lewis as you, and me as William, that's casting."
"Not great casting, but it is casting," Harry replied drily after a pause.

The Crown's fourth season dropped in late 2020, drawing plenty of controversy over its portrayal of the marriage of Prince Charles and Princess Diana.

There were even calls for Netflix to add a 'fiction' disclaimer to the start of episodes to ensure the public realised it was not a documentary.
Harry's interview with Corden, which came as a surprise to fans, covered a range of topics including his family life with wife Meghan and son Archie, and his royal exit.
