A new book by Prince Andrew's accuser Virginia Giuffre is expected to put further pressure on the embattled royal.

The posthumous memoir by Giuffre, who accused the Duke of York and the late disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein of sexual assault, will be published in October.

She had finished the book, titled Nobody's Girl, before she died by suicide in April, at the age of 41.

It will be published by Penguin Random House, which also published the Duke of Sussex's memoir Spare in 2023.

The publisher Knopf, a division of Random House, said Giuffre had written in an email just weeks before her death in Australia that it was her "heartfelt wish" the memoir would still be released in the event of her passing.

Giuffre was one of Epstein's most high-profile victims and she alleged that Epstein and his former girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, trafficked her to Prince Andrew when she was 17.

Prince Andrew has denied all allegations against him.

The Duke of York reached an out-of-court settlement with Giuffre in 2022, believed to be around $20 million.

The settlement included a statement in which the duke expressed regret for his association with Epstein, but contained no admission of liability or apology.

The 400-page memoir, written with co-author Amy Wallace, will be the first time Giuffre has spoken publicly about Prince Andrew since the settlement.

The publisher said the book will share "intimate, disturbing, and heartbreaking new details about her time with Epstein, Maxwell, and their many well-known friends, including Prince Andrew".

It will likely cause further embarrassment for Prince Andrew, despite Giuffre's allegations against him already being made public.

In a television interview with the BBC in 2019, the duke denied meeting Giuffre.

On the night Giuffre said she had been abused by the prince, he said he had been at Pizza Express in Woking with one of his daughters.

Weeks after the interview, which was filmed inside Buckingham Palace, Prince Andrew stepped back from public life. He was later stripped of his royal patronages and honorary military roles.

The duke no longer appears at public events, only attending so-called family occasions with the rest of the royal family.

He was absent from church on Sunday with the royal family at Balmoral, even though he is holidaying at the estate in the Scottish Highlands.

King Charles, Queen Camilla, the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children, the Princess Royal and Duke of Edinburgh all attended Crathie Kirk during the family's annual summer holiday.

Prince Andrew, who is at Balmoral with his ex-wife Sarah, Duchess of York, is staying at Craigowan Lodge on the estate.

Giuffre died by suicide in April, leaving behind three children.

Her family called her a "fierce warrior" who "will always be remembered for her incredible courage".
