From Denmark's King Frederik and Queen Mary, to Spain's King Felipe and Queen Letizia, and even former Olympic competitor Princess Anne, the royals have been attending the Olympics en masse.

Crown Princess Mette-Marit and Crown Prince Haakon
Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway was spotted at the athletics event alongside her husband, Crown Prince Haakon.
Haakon had previously been spotted around the Paris 2024 solo after Mette-Marit was forced to cancel her travel plans when her son was charged with assault.
Marius Borg Hoiby, Mette-Marit's 27-year-old son from a previous marriage, was charged with assault in Norway after an alleged attack on a woman, per local media.
The Norwegian Royal Household confirmed to local news magazine Se og Hør that Mette-Marit had remained in Norway.
"The Crown Princess has temporarily postponed her departure and hopes to travel down later," communications advisor Simen Løvberg Sund told Se og Hør.
However, it seemed that the princess managed to make the trip in the final days of the event, eventually joining her husband in supporting their country.
An unexpected sight greeted those in the crowd at the men's gold medal match of the 3x3 basketball between France and Netherlands on La Concorde 1.
King of Felipe VI of Spain was seated alongside Princess Amalia of the Netherlands - the future queen - for the game earlier this week.

Prince Albert II of Monaco sported a curious accessory while watching the marathon swimming women's 10km medal ceremony at Pont Alexandre III on August 8, 2024.
While the royal has taken part in five Winter Olympics, he's never taken home a medal.
However, it appears the Olympian, who is also a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has an IOC medallion he can wear for formal occasions, as seen here.

Norwegian swimmer Henrik Christiansen has become an unlikely breakout star of Paris 2024, thanks to his obsession with the chocolate muffins available to athletes in the Olympic Village.
Christiansen's hilarious TikToks about his love affair with the sweet treat, which has earned him the nickname 'The Muffin Man', have been viewed by millions – and now, he's met the future King of Norway.
Crown Prince Haakon visited Norwegian athletes in the village, posing for a photo with Christiansen... and one of his beloved muffins, naturally.
Norway's official royal Instagram page got into the spirit, captioning the shot, "Do you know the muffin man?"
Princess Alexandra of Hanover and Prince Albert of Monaco
There were some familiar faces in the crowd at the Men's Skateboarding Park Final on August 7.
Monaco's Prince Albert was joined by his nice, Princess Alexandra of Hanover, at the event held at Place de la Concorde in Paris.
Alexandra is the daughter of Princess Caroline of Monaco and Ernst August, Prince of Hanover, and the granddaughter of the late Hollywood star-turned-royal, Princess Grace (nee Grace Kelly).
She happens to be an athlete herself, as an accomplished figure skater.
Monaco's Prince Albert and Norway's Crown Prince Haakon
Haakon, Crown Prince of Norway and Prince Albert II of Monaco were spotted sitting side-by-side during the Athletics on day eleven of the Olympic Games Paris 2024 at Stade de France.
The two royals appeared without their wives, though for two very different reasons.
It's understood that Albert's wife, Princess Charlene of Monaco, remained at home with their two young children, twins Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques.
Meanwhile, Haakon's wife Mette-Marit, Crown Princess of Norway, was supposed to accompany him but had to change her plans at the last minute due to a family scandal.

Haakon attended the Olympics solo after his stepson Marius Borg Hoiby, 27, was charged with assault in Norway after an alleged attack on a woman, per local media, forcing Hoiby's mother - the Crown Princess - to cancel her travel plans.

King Felipe VI of Spain
King Felipe VI of Spain was spotted at the Women's Park Prelims on day eleven of the Olympic Games Paris 2024, where he cheered on Julia Benedetti of Team Spain.
She finished 16th in the event when the sport made its debut at Tokyo 2020 and is a three-time world championship competitor, so Spain has a lot to be proud of in Benedetti.
