The beautiful mannerism Meghan shares with Princess Diana

Ever since princes William and Harry ventured into the world of dating, eventually marrying two incredible women, comparisons have been made between their respective wives and late mother, Princess Diana.

Comparisons are an inevitable part of royal life, especially when Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, share such a special knack for fashion.

There are also the subtle nods cleverly done by the two duchesses, showing their affection for the mother-in-law they never got to meet. Kate's maternity dress after giving birth to Prince Louis is one example; Meghan wearing Diana's jewellery in Sydney is another.

But it's not just style that Diana, Kate and Meghan have in common. They also share certain mannerisms that have endeared them to royal fans worldwide.

During a visit to Bristol last week, one of Meghan’s gestures reminded fans instantly of Diana.

Despite the snow and freezing conditions, the mum-to-be shook hands with the masses of crowds without wearing gloves. Meghan carried her gloves and shook hands with those waiting to see her.

The Duchess even told one fan, "Sorry my hand is cold".

Princess Diana famously rarely wore gloves when she did public walkabouts, preferring skin to skin contact.

In contrast, Queen Elizabeth wears gloves at nearly every occasion where she meets with her subjects.

According to People, Meghan is consciously making an effort in her approach to royal duties – as Diana did many years ago.

"[Diana] abandoned the royal protocol of wearing gloves because she liked to hold hands when visiting people or shake hands and have direct contact," Eleri Lynn, the curator of an exhibit on Princess Diana’s style, told the publication.

Diana also stopped wearing wide-brimmed hats when she'd come in contact with children saying, "You can’t cuddle a child in a hat".

Like Diana, Meghan has also frequently opted to crouch down and hug young children in the crowds.

It's not hard to see why Prince Harry fell in love with her.
