Inside Meghan Markle's family life with Prince Harry as the Duchess of Sussex reveals holiday plans

Meghan Markle has spoken candidly about her family life with her husband Prince Harry and revealed what the holiday season looks like for the pair.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, revealed their holiday plans in a new interview with Marie Claire, saying she "loves the holidays".

Markle spoke about their children Archie and Lilibet and said it's exciting to see the holidays through their eyes.

"But now we're at the age where I just can't wait to see it through their lens every year," she said.

For Thanksgiving, Markle said "it's always pretty low-key" but they always have "fun" activities planned and holiday traditions to upkeep, including putting out carrots for Santa's reindeer and using special recipes for the kid's "formative memory".

"Like any other family you spend time having a great meal and then what do you do? Play games, all the same stuff, someone brings a guitar — fun," she said.

She said it's also nice to be "close" to her mother Doria to celebrate the holidays with, as she also lives in California.

It comes after the couple just two weeks ago made a joint appearance for the first in two months.

The pair appeared together in a new video which was played at the United Nations Global Ministerial Conference about child protection and ending violence against children.

"While the necessity has always been apparent, it's now time to translate that awareness into meaningful action," The Duke of Sussex said in the clip.
