Meghan Markle's former agent says she googled Prince Harry before their first date
Meghan Markle’s former agent has shared some insights into the early months of the actress’ relationship with fiance Prince Harry.
Gina Nelthorpe-Cowne worked with the “hugely charismatic” Suits star, 36, for two years - including the early months of her relationship with the 33-year-old prince.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, she recalls having lunch with Markle hours ahead of her first rendezvous with Harry in June 2016.
“Meghan had just told me, 'I'm going on a date tonight … with Prince Harry’,” Nelthorne Cowne says.

Though the date was a ‘blind’ set-up by a mutual friend of the couple, Nelthorpe-Cowne says her former client took a moment to Google her famous dining partner a few hours before.

After the date, Markle told Nelthorpe-Cowne the prince had been “a real gentleman, genuinely nice” and that she hoped to see him again.

Nelthorpe-Cowne said the pair’s trip to Botswana early on in their courtship was a turning point for her famous friend, who showed her “wonderful” photos from the trip.
“They were so clearly already in love. She told me it was serious and they had started discussing the future,” the agent tells the Daily Mail.
“She said they'd said to each other, 'We're going to change the world.' I knew then there was no other way than for them to get married.”
