Meghan and Harry's most personal Instagram post yet

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have shared a quote on their Instagram page in the wake of accusations of hypocrisy over their recent use of private jets, four times in 11 days.

Meghan and Harry shared a quote from Archbishop Desmond Tutu. It reads: "Do your little bit of good where you are; it's those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world."

They added the caption: "An inspiring quote for the day - wishing you a wonderful week ahead!"

It's one of the more personal posts that has appeared on their social media account that now has 9.3 million followers.

Fans were delighted with the post, with one follower writing: "That's so true! Thank you for the motivation."

And another wrote: "Love this and your account! You are using your IG account to inspire people all over the world."

One follower praised the couple for the "great reminder".

The Duke and Duchess have been in the firing line for the past two weeks over their use of private jets, in light of their work highlighting environmental issues.

However, family friend Elton John stepped in to defend the couple, saying one of the trips in question involved the pair flying to his home in Nice on his private jet, as a chance to spend some quite time with son Archie Harrison.

The singer claimed he'd made a 'carbon offset' donation for the flight.

Private jets are more damaging to the environment than commercial flights.

He shared his thoughts on Twitter, speaking at his "distress" at the criticism the couple have been facing.

At least one Instagram user wasn't happy to let the issue go, writing: "How about you do your little bit of good and stop taking flights on private jets?"
