Princess Diana's niece Lady Kitty Spencer finally reveals baby daughter's name

Lady Kitty Spencer has shared the name of her daughter, months after confirming her arrival on Mother's Day in the UK.

Kitty shared a black and white photo to Instagram showing her standing with her daughter at a window. The new mum is kissing her daughter's head as her daughter stares out the window.

The caption accompanying the photo reads: "Athena watching the world go by."

Kitty, 33, who is the late Princess Diana's niece and daughter of Diana's brother Earl Charles Spencer, shared the post overnight.

It comes after she announced the arrival of her first child with husband Michael Lewis, 65, earlier this year.

In that post she wrote: "It's the joy of my life to be your mummy, little one. I love you unconditionally. Happy Mother's Day to those who celebrate today."

Her younger twin sisters left comments on this post.

"My perfect little niece," Eliza Spencer commented.

"The most perfect angel in the world," Amelia Spencer added.

The royal, who is Prince William and Prince Harry's cousin, didn't announce her pregnancy, with many surprised to learn she was a mum.

Athena was reportedly born in late 2023.

Kitty married South African businessman Lewis in a lavish ceremony in Rome in 2021 after reportedly meeting through friends. He has three children from a previous marriage.

While it is understood Earl Spencer was at the wedding, he didn't walk his daughter down the aisle. Instead, her brother, Viscount Althorp, and half-brother, Samuel Aitken, accompanied her down the aisle.

The royal has largely lived her life away from the spotlight.

An emerging style icon, she has risen to fame as a socialite and model, gracing the pages of some of Britain's most coveted magazines – including Harper's Bazaar UK at age one.
