Video reveals Meghan's generous act for teen girls impacted by LA fires

Meghan Markle has been spotted quietly supporting wildfire relief efforts in California. 

The Duchess of Sussex spent time volunteering with Altadena Teen Girls Fire Recovery, which is an organisation founded by 14-year-old Avery Colvert.

The teen started the organisation with the goal of helping "young girls regain their sense of self and confidence" amid the raging fires and devastating aftermath.

Town and Country magazine reports Meghan and Prince Harry donated to Altadena Teen Girls through their Archwell Foundation.

"I started this to help girls affected specifically by the Eaton Canyon fire who lost their homes feel like themselves – and feel confident again," Colvert told the Los Angeles Times

"They've lost everything, and I want them to feel a sense of normalcy when nothing else in their life is normal."

Meghan also gave some time as a volunteer, bringing with her beauty products and new clothing to donate, as well as lunch for attendees. 

The former Suits star also spent time speaking with families as they visited and helping the organisation run the event. 

On Instagram, Altadena Girls posted a Reel alongside the caption: "Thank you to everyone who showed up on Monday, which was such a special day! We love you!"

In the video, Meghan is seen carrying bags of donations and speaking with Colvert. 

Prince Harry and Meghan moved to California in 2020 following their royal exit.

They reside in Montecito, in Santa Barbara county, with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

The pair recently shared a rare statement addressing the horrific devastation on their Sussex.com website.

"In the last few days, wildfires in Southern California have raged through neighborhoods and devastated families, homes, schools, medical care centers, and so much more – affecting tens of thousands from all walks of life," they wrote.

"A state of emergency has been issued."

The royals shared several resources and ideas to those who felt "compelled to help".

They included links to the World Central Kitchen, CAL FIRE, LA Fire Department Foundation, and the Animal Wellness Foundation, among other resources.
