Frederik and Mary charm crowds as they take up new residence at Gråsten Palace
King Frederik and Queen Mary of Denmark have been greeted by royal followers as they arrived at their summer residence, Gråsten Palace, in the Jutland region of southern Denmark.
The royal couple were all smiles as they stepped out into the town square for an official greeting from the mayor, Erik Lauritzen, where Mary, 52, was handed a colourful bouquet of flowers by a little girl.
In a change from tradition the king and queen walked the route to the palace, sharing private jokes along the way.

Queen Mary wore a stylish white and green summer dress by ME+EM teamed with wedges and a white hat.
British royal Zara Tindall has previously worn this dress during a boat outing on the weekend of the Monaco Grand Prix in May.
King Frederik, 56, chose a blue day suit with striped tie.

Both King Frederik and the mayor gave speeches, with the King recalling memories of his childhood at the palace.
He paid tribute to his mother Queen Margrethe, and his aunts, Princess Benedikte and Queen Anne-Marie.
"To see them become girls again when they are at Graasten Castle, it is a sign that this is a great place of peace, joy and summer and flowers, bees, animals and also people," he said.

The royals spent time meeting royal followers including some of its younger residents, including a toddler in a pram, with the queen crouching down to greet them.
At one point a young boy walked towards the royal couple, with Queen Mary holding out a protective arm for him.
Members in the crowd waved Danish flags and handed gifts to the couple.

Mary was given multiple bouquets of beautiful flowers as they made her way along the line of locals who had gathered.

This is the couple's first time hosting at the residence which they have previously used as a holiday location.
Gråsten Palace has been party of the Danish Royal Family's property portfolio since 1935 when it was given to the then Crown Prince Frederik and his wife Crown Princess Ingrid who later became king and queen.

The Danish royals recently embarked on a trip on the royal shit Dannebrog to visit various locations.
Most recently the couple were in Greenland where they were joined by twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine, 13.

They arrived in the country's capital Nuuk where they visited the local town hall visit, Nuuk's new school Aturfik Inussuk and the new airport.
