Queen Elizabeth's cousin Prince Michael of Kent and his wife Princess Michael of Kent attend the Thanksgiving Service for King Constantine of the Hellenes on February 27, 2024 in Windsor.
The couple put on brave faces just two days after the sudden death of their son-in-law, Thomas Kingston, who was married to their daughter Lady Gabriella Windsor.
Their appearance came hours before Buckingham Palace announced the tragic news of the 45-year-old's death to the public.
Kingston was found dead at an address in Gloucestershire on Sunday, with emergency services reportedly called shortly after 6pm local time (5am Monday AEDT).
While King Charles, Prince William and Kate couldn't attend the memorial service for the last King of Greece, Queen Camilla lead members of the British royal family at the service.
They were joined by other European royals in attendance, including King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain.
