King Charles to host US President Joe Biden at Windsor Castle
King Charles III will welcome US President Joe Biden to Windsor Castle next week.
It is the first time the US president will have met the King since the coronation in May.
Biden declined an invitation to the coronation on May 6 but sent his wife, First Lady Jill Biden, and his granddaughter instead.

The monarch and the president will meet at Windsor Castle on Monday July 10, Buckingham Palace has confirmed.
Biden last visited London for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in September and joined the King and other members of the royal family for a reception the night before at Buckingham Palace.

The meeting will mark will mark Biden's second meeting with a sitting British monarch during his presidency.

The 80-year-old leader previously met with the late Queen Elizabeth at Windsor Castle in June 2021, just months after taking office.
He was in the UK for the G7 Summit and became the 13th and final American president the Queen met during her historic 70-year reign.

This time, Biden will be travelling to the UK for a diplomatic trip, also visiting Lithuania and Finland from July 9 to 13.
He'll be in Vilnius in Lithuania for the Nato summit, which takes place on July 11 and 12.

On his final day, he will visit Helsinki, in Finland for a US-Nordic Leaders Summit, where the focus of the talks is expected to be the Russia-Ukraine war.
A White House statement said: "President Biden will first travel to London, United Kingdom for engagements with King Charles III and Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to further strengthen the close relationship between our nations."
Biden made a brief visit to Northern Ireland earlier this year to mark the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday agreement.
King Charles' meeting with the US President follows a long tradition of monarchs hosting leaders from abroad.
