King Charles is hoping to resume a "normal" schedule of overseas visits in 2025, following his successful tour to Australia and Samoa in October which a Buckingham Palace spokesperson described at the time as a "perfect tonic".
King Charles, who was diagnosed with cancer in February last year, is still receiving regular treatment.
Late last month, he travelled to Poland for the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz along with royals from across Europe and world leaders.

Although Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip did not attend the civil ceremony, they did join the service of blessing.
The date is also a likely bittersweet one for King Charles as his father the Duke of Edinburgh passed away on April 9, 2021.
The wedding was originally due to be held on April 8 but had to be moved back a day so Charles, as Prince of Wales, could attend the funeral of Pope John Paul II at the Vatican on behalf of the Queen.
Speaking of the King and Queen's coming visit to Italy, a royal source told The Mirror: "The King and Queen are absolutely delighted to be heading to Italy, to celebrate the ties between our two countries, especially in such an important period for their hosts.
"The fact their milestone anniversary will fall during the visit is a welcome addition.
"Although it will be a working day, they are sure to find some time to have a small, private celebration."
Buckingham Palace is yet to formally announce the King and Queen's visit to Italy.
