Queen Camilla provides health update on King Charles

Queen Camilla has provided a health update on her husband King Charles while arriving for a visit to The Arcadia deli in Belfast in Northern Ireland where she is on a solo two-day trip.

Royal followers gathered to greet Camilla, 76, and asked about Charles, 75, who is currently undergoing outpatient treatment for cancer.

"He's doing very well," Camilla responded, according to HELLO! "He was very disappointed he couldn't come."

Another joked about men "not being the best patient" to which Camilla responded: "I try to keep him in order."

King Charles was originally scheduled to travel to Northern Ireland with Queen Camilla, but has stepped back from public duties during his treatment.

He is holding limited meetings in his residences.

It is understood Camilla was determined to travel to Northern Ireland despite her husband's absence.

The royal visited the local deli and visited two other family-run shops on Lisburn Road including Coffey's Butcher and Knotts Bakery. She spoke with local business owners and staff.

At Coffey's Butcher, Queen Camilla commented on the "great selection" and was handed some of the shops speciality products including vegetable rolls and beef sausages.

"I shall take these back to my husband, he will really make the most of them," Camilla said.

At Knotts Bakery, Camilla was given some fruit loaf and iced madeira.

Later that day Queen Camilla returned to her royal residence, Hillsborough Castle in county Down, where she is staying during the trip.

Later that day she took the salute at a military parade in her role as Colonel-in-Chief of The Rifles.

She then returned to her home to host a gathering for World Poetry Day and titled Northern Ireland: Poets and Their Place.

Both King Charles and the Princess of Wales have been absent from public duties since January due to their health challenges.

King Charles was treated for a benign enlarged prostate before cancer was detected, and Catherine underwent planned abdominal surgery.

The public is anticipating seeing both royals join their family for church on Easter Sunday.
