King Charles dances with Anne Frank's stepsister to celebrate Hanukkah

He's keeping calm and carrying on.

King Charles has taken a very special lady out for a spin on the dancefloor, for a very special cause.

At a recent engagement touring the JW3, also known as the Jewish Community Centre London, to celebrate Hanukkah, Charles had the honour of taking to the dancefloor with Eva Schloss, the step-sister of Anne Frank.

"He was sweet, he really took part, he seemed to enjoy it but it is unusual for him not to make a speech," the 93 year-old commented after dancing with Charles. "But he was very relaxed and he enjoyed it, I was trying to get a dance with him."

Charles was then presented with a Chanukiah of eight candelabras, gifted by Dame Vivien Duffield, who founded JW3 in 2013 to give the Jewish community of London a place to gather and celebrate their heritage.

"Most people in the British Jewish community come from refugee stock and the fact of being accepted and meeting the monarch, it's an endorsement of the community's place in British society," commented JW3's chief executive, Raymond Simonson, who vouched that Charles had arrived to the event with a car boot full of rice and tinned tuna to put into the donation packets.

It comes as the explosive final episodes of the Harry & Meghan docuseries aired on Netflix, with heavy claims about the royal family, especially Charles and Prince William.

Prince Harry recounted a time where, after he announced that himself and wife Meghan Markle would be stepping down from royal duties, he was brought in to counsel with his family at Sandringham, known as the Sandringham Summit.

Though Harry thought it would be an amicable discussion, he shared it was "terrifying to have my brother scream and shout at me and my father say things that weren't true and my grandmother sit there quietly and take it all in."

"It was really hard," he said in the series.

Charles and William have yet to respond to the claims, instead showing a "united front" at the Princess of Wales' second annual Christmas carol concert, during which William called for "togetherness" during his address at the event.

"At Christmas, I am always struck by how the spirit of togetherness lies also at the heart of the Christmas story," he told the audience at Westminster Abbey, quoting Queen Elizabeth II's 2012 Christmas speech.
