King Charles makes stylish entry at Gladiator II's world premiere as Queen Camilla forced to stay home
King Charles has walked part of the red carpet at the world premiere of Gladiator II without his wife Queen Camilla, who remains unwell with a chest infection.
The monarch, 76, appeared in good spirits as he arrived at Leicester Square alone on Wednesday evening (Thursday morning in Australia).
The King was driven down the red carpet in a burgundy state car before getting out and greeting the crowds briefly before going inside.

Queen Camilla was forced to pull out of the Royal Film Performance screening of the sequel as she recovers from an infection.
The Queen will also not be with the King for an official engagement marking His Majesty's 76th birthday on Thursday in the UK.

But the Queen was able to make a brief appearance at Buckingham Palace with her husband before the movie premiere.

To mark the occasion, music from the blockbuster film was played during the Changing the Guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
The performance included a medley of hits from films and musicals, from Star Wars and Indiana Jones to Hairspray and ABBA, as the King and Queen hosted a celebratory reception at the palace in honour of the UK's film and television industry.

Inside, Queen Camilla apologised for not being able to attend the premier and told director Sir Ridley Scott's wife, Lady Scott, she would just be "coughing way too much" if she had.

Other guests included Damien Lewis, Henry Golding, Dame Harriet Walter, Emily Mortimer and India Amarteifio.
Yesterday, Queen Camilla hosted a reception in the Garden Room at Clarence House to meet this year's Booker Prize finalists and insisted she is "getting much better".
"Bit of sort of coughing going on but I really wanted to be here," the Queen said.
Camilla missed Remembrance events at the weekend following doctors' guidance "to ensure a full recovery from a seasonal chest infection".
The Queen spoke fondly about her and the King's recent visit to Australia, telling Australian novelist Charlotte Wood: "We had a lovely time in Sydney … it was so lovely to get such a warm welcome".
The author said: "Everyone was very excited to see you".
