Kate Middleton's longtime right-hand woman has decided to leave her role at the palace.

Archer has been beside the couple through their wedding in 2011, the birth of each of their three children, and through Kate's cancer diagnosis in early 2024.

Kensington Palace confirmed Archer's move to E! News, telling the publication she is setting up her private consultancy.

While Archer began as the Princess of Wales' assistant, her role would eventually encompass styling the royal and helping her to develop her signature look.

This saw the royal transition from girl-next-door fashion choices to a more refined royal look that included working with designers such as Alexander McQueen and Jenny Packham.

This was an unofficial role but one she did with dedication, often photographed carrying multiple outfits to and from various locations.

This included to and from the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital where Kate gave birth to her three children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven.

Archer would later take on the role of Senior Private Executive Assistant to both the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Archer and Jackson are parents to two sons.

The Princess of Wales began easing back into public life at the end of 2024 following the completion of her cancer treatment.

She revealed she was in remission on January 14 during a visit to the Royal Marsden Hospital in London where she was treated.
