Princess of Wales receives apology from BBC after broadcast blunder
The BBC has issued an apology to the Princess of Wales after a major blunder during Remembrance week commemorations.
Britain's national broadcaster incorrectly referred to Prince William's wife as 'Kate Middleton' across its news service on Monday November 11 as the royal attended a service at the National Memorial Arboretum.
The 43-year-old was at the Staffordshire memorial to lay a floral tribute to commemorate those who served in the Armed Forces.

It was the first time Catherine had laid her own wreath at the memorial, 14 years after marrying into the royal family.
In a statement released by the BBC on November 14, the corporation said it had "received complaints from people unhappy that we didn't use the Princess of Wales's correct title during our coverage of Armistice Day".
The princess ceased to be known as Catherine Middleton, or Kate Middleton, when she married the heir to the British throne on April 29, 2011.

She was given the title Duchess of Cambridge by the late Queen Elizabeth II.
When Elizabeth II died on September 8, 2022, Catherine became the Princess of Wales.
However, she is still commonly referred to as 'Kate Middleton', particularly by members of the public and online.
But her correct title is Catherine, the Princess of Wales – not Princess Kate, or Princess Catherine.
In a statement the BBC said: "During our coverage of memorials to commemorate Armistice Day we mistakenly referred to Catherine, Princess of Wales as Kate Middleton; these were errors during hours of live broadcasting for which we apologise.
"Throughout our Armistice Day coverage more broadly, we referred to Catherine by her correct title."

The Prince and Princess of Wales will next be seen in public on Wednesday night when they attend the the Royal Variety Performance at the Royal Albert Hall, in London.
The couple last attended the event in 2023. Sweden's Crown Princess Victoria and her husband Prince Daniel also attended with Prince William and Catherine during their visit to London.
The Royal Variety Charity helps those who've worked professionally in the entertainment industry. Last year, the charity set up a dedicated team to assist those in entertainment who are in need of help and support because of mental health issues.
