Jack Brooksbank couldn't wipe the smile off his face when he spotted Princess Eugenie arriving at St George's Chapel for their nuptials in Windsor for their Royal Wedding.

Princess Eugenie entered the chapel and Brooksbank, flanked by best man -- brother Thomas -- were both beaming at the sight of the 28-year-old.

According to a lipreader, Eugenie's hubby said, 'Oh... My heart... Oh break my heart' when he saw her. Isn't that the sweetest thing?!

The couple met skiing in Switzerland eight years ago and announced their engagement earlier this year.

Even before Eugenie entered the chapel, Brooksbank was overcome with emotions, removing his glasses to wipe tears from his eyes.

His brother offered little support, affectionately amused by his sibling's emotional moment.

The bride soon joined her groom at the altar and the couple were thrilled to see each other, if not a little nervous.

When the couple was asked to join hands, Booksbank stole hearts by lovingly stroking his bride-to-be's fingers, continuing the intimate gesture as he said his vows to her.

It was his way of offering the ultimate comfort to his nervous bride as they joined their lives together.

Royal expert Victoria Arbiter has spoken about Brooksbank, describing him as an "interesting character" to 9Honey, "very unassuming, loyal and very trustworthy".

"There's been a lot made of the fact that when Eugenie met him, he was working as a waiter at a ski resort in Verbier [in Switzerland] but this is definitely not a rag to riches story", Victoria said.

Brooksbank is the brand ambassador for George Clooney's tequila business and is also a wine merchant.
