Prince Harry and King Charles reportedly planning 'peace talks' during birthday visit

With Prince Harry expected to return to the UK in November for King Charles' 75th birthday celebration, there is speculation father and son with make time for "peace talks" following months of tension between Harry and his family.

Harry, 38, will reportedly travel from his home in the US to the UK solo, with Meghan to remain home in Montecito with the couple's children Archie, four, and Lilibet, two.

This leaves Harry free to meet with his family, and in particular King Charles, who is reportedly keen to keep his son in the royal fold.

A source has told OK! there is time in King Charles' schedule to speak privately with his son.

"King Charles is due to return to London from Balmoral in the middle of September, which ties in with the end of Harry's Invictus Games trip to Dusseldorf," the source said.

"The King has a rescheduled official visit to France on Sept. 20, so [he] has a few days to spare in London to meet with his son. Staff are trying to fine-tune the details as we speak."

It was in January 2023 that Prince Harry released his controversial memoir Spare, in which he explained further he and wife Meghan Markle's struggles during their time as working members of the British royal family.

Charles was said to be upset at Harry's portrayal of his wife, Queen Camilla, with Harry accusing his stepmother of sacrificing him "on her personal PR altar."

This followed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan.

If Prince Harry and King Charles were to meet, it would be before the monarch's birthday event on November 14.

Charles is said to be planning a small celebration with family and friends, with Camilla hosting the event at their home Highgrove House in Gloucestershire in the UK.

While King Charles is said to be keen to catch up with his youngest son, the same can't be said for Prince William who isn't likely to welcome his brother back into the fold so easily.

William and Harry kept their distances from each other during King Charles' coronation in May and are reportedly not on speaking terms.
