From Spain to Sweden, here's a handy guide to some of Europe's major royal families
In the world of royal news, the British monarchy tends to hog the headlines — thanks in no small part to the dramas playing out within the family in recent years.
However, there are plenty of royal families outside of the United Kingdom, particularly in countries across Europe, that occasionally command the spotlight.

Of course, Aussies are familiar with the Danish royal family, having watched Tasmanian-born Mary Donaldson marry a prince and become Crown Princess Mary.
The Monaco royals have also caught the world's attention, with Grace Kelly becoming the first actress-turned-royal and swapping Hollywood for the palaces of Monte Carlo back in the '50s.
However, casual royal watchers mightn't be quite so across the monarchies of Norway or the Netherlands, for instance.
