George Clooney defends Meghan Markle again during TV interview
George Clooney has spoken out about Meghan Markle and defended the Duchess in a TV interview.
The Hollywood star and good friend of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, said during an interview on Good Morning Britain on Friday that the American-born Royal has been unfairly treated.
"I think it’s a little unfair at times when – I’ve seen it when the press can turn on you for sort of ridiculous reasons and for almost nothing, and it seemed to me to be a little unjust since [Meghan] hadn’t done anything except just happen to live her life," he said.

Clooney went on to describe the former Suits actress as "a really kind and smart and intelligent young woman".
The actor - who reportedly let the newlyweds honeymoon at his Lake Como property last year - also commented on the dynamic of the parents-to-be, describing them as a "really wonderful, loving couple".
His comments come just one month after Clooney defended Meghan and compared her to Princess Diana, during a press conference in LA.

"They're just chasing Meghan Markle everywhere, she's been pursued and vilified," he told the room of international reporters in mid-February.

"She's a woman who is seven months pregnant and she has been pursued and vilified and chased in the same way that Diana was and it's history repeating itself."
"We've seen how that ends," he added ominously.

At the time, GMB host Piers Morgan slammed Clooney's comments but luckily there were no fireworks between the pair on Friday morning's show, as Morgan was away from the desk.
The 57-year-old appeared on the show via satellite from Edinburgh, the morning after he attended The People's Postcode Lottery Gala with wife Amal Clooney.
And just days earlier the couple attended another charity function, with Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace.
Amal was recently with Meghan in New York, as one of the guests at her intimate baby shower.
