Speculation over the name of Princess Eugenie and Jack's son begins

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank have announced the birth of their baby boy and now everyone wants to know what the little bub will be called.

This is the Queen's ninth great-grandchild and knowing how close Eugenie is to her grandparents, she is likely to choose a name in keeping with royal tradition. Although as a part-time royal, she also has the choice to come up with a more unique name or choose from her husband's side of the family.

While Queen Elizabeth technically has veto power over the name the couple chooses, she is unlikely to exercise this power and is more likely to support the parent's choice of name.

Now that the baby has been born the frontrunner is Arthur, with major betting agencies Betfair and Ladbrokes listing it as the top contender and 8/1 and 5/1 respectively.

Arthur has already been used as a middle name for Prince Louis, Prince William and Prince Charles.

"Prince Harry's name was announced on the very same day."
