Why Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank arrived separately at Ellie Goulding's wedding

Princess Eugenie arrived without her husband Jack Brooksbank on Saturday, as she attended friend Ellie Goulding's wedding in York.

But don't worry there's nothing wrong for the newlyweds, there's a simple explanation.

Jack had arrived earlier with groom Caspar Jopling's extended bridal party, leaving the Princess of York to hitch a lift with mum Sarah Ferguson and sister Princess Beatrice.

Princess Beatrice attended with her boyfriend Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, which is sure to further fuel rumours of another Royal Wedding to come.

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank - who married in a lavish ceremony at Windsor's St George's Chapel last October - were reunited on the steps outside of York Minster.

The couple were spotted walking inside the church holding hands.

Jack, who didn't appear to be one of the official groomsmen, looked dapper in a morning suit for the formal occasion.

While Eugenie channelled her wedding dress style, wearing a deep-v neckline with a fold of material but swapping the white satin for a deep blue floral print midi-dress.

The Duchess of York beamed as she arrived for the nuptials in York, waving jubilantly at the gathered crowds.

In fact, the impressive guest list at the nuptials rivalled recent Royal Weddings.

In addition to the York family, Cressida Bonas, Sienna Miller, James Blunt, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom were among the guest list.

The British singer is hosting a festival-themed reception at the nearby stately home, Castle Howard.

The couple began dating in 2017 and announced their engagement in August 2018.
