Princess Catharina-Amalia of the Netherlands will be 'reimbursed for expenses in role as heir to the throne': reports
Princess Catharina-Amalia of the Netherlands will start claiming the €1.5 million ($2.4) she has been allotted to pay for expenses as heir to the throne from next January.
Catharina-Amalia, 20, had previously stated she would not be accepting payments, unless costs incurred increased.
The Netherlands Times reports the royal can claim €1,509,000 ($2.4 million) for expenses and €322,000 ($526,341) in salary since 2021 when she turned 18 in December of that year.

The royal reportedly contacted Prime Minister Mark Rutte earlier this week explaining her decision.
"With the passage of time and after surprising circumstances, it is now foreseeable that I will have to take into account personnel and material expenses with a view to an independent and autonomous fulfillment of my position, including administrative staff, and reservations for a living and working accommodation," she reportedly wrote.

The royal will reportedly not accept her salary until completing her studies.
She is currently in the second year of a three-year degree at the University of Amsterdam where she is studying Politics, Psychological Law and Economics.
Earlier this year it was revealed Princess Catharina-Amalia relocated to Spain for a year after threats were made.

"A visit to Spain always feels like an embrace. Not only for us, but also for our eldest daughter," he told King Felipe and Queen Letizia.
"Last year, circumstances required her to live in Madrid. From there she was able to continue her studies at the University of Amsterdam. This was made possible by the kind efforts of many of your countrymen and yourself.
