The Duchess of Cornwall has cancelled a second official engagement this week on doctor's orders.

The 72-year-old had planned to go along with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who was also attending for the first time.

The Duchess is suffering from a chest infection which has become "progressively worse", Clarence House said in a statement.

It read: "The Duchess of Cornwall has been told by her doctor to cancel her engagements owing to a chest infection which has got progressively worse over the last few days. She will therefore not be at today's event with Harry and Meghan."

Camilla accompanied Prince Charles on Wednesday to Swiss Cottage Farmers' Market, celebrating the 20th Anniversary of London Farmers' Markets.

However, due to her worsening chest infection, the Duchess was forced to cancel another royal engagement later in the day and pulled out of a special 200th anniversary dinner of the birth of Prince Albert.

The Duke of Sussex, 35, has attended many time previously with his grandfather, Prince Philip but made his first appearance at the event with wife, Meghan by his side.

The Royal couple paused for a two-minute silence, remembering those who lost their lives serving their country.

The Duchess of Sussex, 38, also joined Harry in planting a cross in the Field of Remembrance, dressed in a navy coat, matching hat and black block heeled boots.
