Wait, did Prince Harry snub Meghan’s attempt to hold his hand in public?

While the royal wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry was full of public displays of affection, it seems the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are making an active attempt to keep their hands off each other at public events.

However, Meghan needed a bit of reminding of the royal etiquette when she almost tried to hold her hubby’s hand at the Queen’s Young Leaders awards ceremony recently.

In a video posted by The Sun, Harry appears to reject his wife’s attempt to lock palms. The Duchess seems to reach for her husband’s hand, a gesture he quickly avoids by moving his arm away from her.

But royal fans need not worry!

The snub from Prince Harry is definitely not a sign of trouble in paradise, says body language expert Robin Kermode, who told MailOnline that avoiding PDA at public outings is an unwritten royal rule.

“The Queen rarely holds hands with her husband in public and this seems to have set an unwritten precedent for the other royals," Kermode told the publication.

Harry's brother and sister-in-law, Prince William and Kate Middleton, also follow the rule.

"It is very clear that William and Kate are emotionally close, however, they do not seem to feel the need to prove their love—particularly when on official state business," Kermode explained.

While Meghan struggled to keep her hands off her new hubby (who can blame her?) she definitely couldn’t keep her eyes off him.

Along with the sweetest moments at the royal wedding Harry and Meghan regularly showed off their love when they first stepped out on engagements early this year.

However, the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex are clearly trying to be as professional as possible now. 

This isn’t the first time the 36-year-old former Suits star has broken royal protocol.

At her first Trooping the Colour event, Meghan raised eyebrows with the style of dress she wore.

The duchess also had experts confused with her accessory choice at her very first royal outing.
