Meghan Markle breaks royal protocol at Trooping the Colour

Meghan Markle has continued to show the world that she isn’t one to follow traditions after her appearance at Queen Elizabeth II’s birthday celebrations, Trooping the Colour.

The Duchess of Sussex went against royal protocol at the event by donning a daring outfit for her first official balcony appearance.

Ditching her signature messy bun, the newlywed left her hair down in loose waves and a dusty pink Carolina Herrera bespoke dress and Philip Treacy hat.

It all sounds pretty traditional but the Duchess overlooked one royal fashion rule: wearing an off-the-shoulder dress.

Generally, royal women do not expose their shoulders or wear revealing outfits of any sort at events, according to The Sun.

It’s clear to see that Meghan is still very much involved in deciding what she wears and won’t be limited by royal tradition.

Meghan and Prince Harry have just returned from their honeymoon following their May 19 nuptials.

The former Suits star looked quite at home during the parade as she waved and smiled alongside her prince charming.
