All you need to know about Daisy Jenks, who married in front of Harry and Meghan

Meghan Markle and husband Prince Harry almost unwittingly upstaged the bride and groom at their friend's country wedding.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were spotted holding hands while walking to the church in Surrey, ready to watch Charlie van Straubenzee tie the knot with Daisy Jenks.

Princes William and Harry have long been friends with Charlie and his older brother Thomas, having played together at Prince Charles' Highgrove estate as children.

Harry and Charlie were also schoolmates, attending Ludgrove Prep School in Berkshire.

Through the years, the princes and the brothers have been spotted attending many events together, including polo and rugby matches.

Charlie and Thomas were also ushers at Prince Harry and Meghan's wedding in May, where Charlie reportedly poked fun at the groom during a speech at the evening reception inside Frogmore House. Speaking of their days at boarding school Charlie said of Harry, "All I wanted was a cuddle from my mummy. Instead, Harry nicked my teddy bear and chucked it out onto the roof."

Daisy accompanied her husband to the Royal Wedding and was seated close to the bride and groom in St George's Chapel.

During her country wedding on Saturday, the 27-year-old bride wore a long veil embroidered with flowers, and a matching gown. She carried a large bouquet filled with daisies and roses.

The wedding was held at St. Mary the Virgin Church in Frensham, Surrey, south of London.

After the ceremony, Daisy shared a kiss with her new husband on the steps of the church before the couple greeted their guests outside.

Daisy then sat on the back of a rickshaw ridden by Charlie as they left the church grounds, headed for their evening reception.

They were cheered on by well-wishers including Princess Eugenie and her fiancé Jack Brooksbank, who are due to marry at Windsor Castle in October.

But one of the biggest surprises of the day was the absence of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who were widely tipped to attend.

There were even reports Prince William and Kate cut short their Caribbean getaway to the island of Mustique to make the wedding. But they were nowhere to be seen.

It is possible, however, that William and Kate made it to the reception, sneaking in through a private entrance well away from the cameras.
