Members of various European royal families attended an international commemoration at Omaha Beach in Normandy, France to mark the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings on June 6.
King Charles III led members of the British royal family in the commemorations across two days.
After a national event on June 5 in the port city of Portsmouth, on the south coast of England, members of the royal family made their way to France for events on June 6.
The D-Day landings on June 6, 1944, were the start of the liberation of France and Europe during WWII, which helped lead to the victory of the Allied Forces.

The royal couple were colour co-ordinated in blue ensembles for the day of remembrance.
In particular, Maxima's chic pleated coat-dress with matching accessories cemented her royal 'style icon' status.
King Frederik was among the first to arrive at the international ceremony at Omaha Beach, near Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer on June 6.
He was greeted by French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron.
After stopping for a short chat and a photo-op, the Danish King walked the red carpet lined with guards and made his way inside the temporary structure.
Norway's Crown Prince Haakon was among the heads of state at the international ceremony at Omaha Beach.
