Meghan Markle and Prince Harry release sweet new video for Archie's first birthday

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have shared a sweet new video of son Archie, to celebrate his first birthday.

The Duchess of Sussex is seen reading "one of Archie's favourite stories", Duck! Rabbit! as the tiny tot giggles and squirms on her lap.

The clip has been released via the 'Save With Stories' campaign on Instagram — an initiative between charities Save The Children and No Kid Hungry, supporting children affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

"As they celebrate this family moment, the Duke and Duchess wanted to continue to raise awareness around the urgency of bringing food and learning resources to millions of children," a Sussex spokesperson said.

The Duke of Sussex is behind the camera and can be heard laughing as Archie reacts to the book.

Meghan calls her son "Arch" for short a few times as she points out little things on the page.

In the clip little Archie, who wearing white short-sleeved onesie, helps his mum turn the pages, with his bottom teeth visible as he grins.

At one point the toddler is seen fishing around for a new book from the pile next to the armchair.

Meghan explains they need to finish the Amy Krouse Rosenthal picture book before they can get to the next one.

Archie then accidentally drops the book on the floor, making Harry laugh.

Meghan picks it up, Archie takes it and drops it again, asking his dad: "Can you get it?"

The family all cheer when the book ends with Prince Harry saying "Bravo!", as Meghan claps.

Meghan is seen wearing a chambray shirt with the sleeves rolled up and sporting her signature messy bun hairstyle.

With the sunlight streaming in where they're reading, the mother-and-son duo look thrilled with story-time and life in their new home of Los Angeles.

Harry and Meghan moved to America after their exit as working members of the British Royal Family in March.
