Royal editor claims Harry and Meghan 'snubbed' Wills on his birthday

Prince William celebrated his 37th birthday on Friday and the well-wishes came flooding in from royal fans – and,of course, royal family members too.

While the official Instagram accounts of the Queen and Prince Charles both posted throwback photos to wish the Duke of Cambridge a happy birthday, the official account of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle posted a couple of photos in celebration of the Duke of Edinburgh's birthday last week, but nothing appeared for Harry's brother and a royal editor claims that is a "snub" to Wills.

"I think it’s a snub if they don’t leave one for Prince William as they did for the Duke and for the Queen," Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, told The Sun's Fabulous Digital.

"If they don’t I think it’s pretty rude and will certainly be construed as purposeful."

Seward noted that was the "trouble with Instagram".

"But it's not as if it’s a cousin or a friend – it's Harry’s big brother," she added.

While they may have not made a specific post, Harry and Meghan did comment on a photo of a smiling William which was posted to the Kensington Royal page in celebration of his birthday.

"Happy Birthday to The Duke of Cambridge!" the message read.

However, the comment left some fans rather baffled.

"It's your own brother, why the need to be so formal?" one person said.

Meanwhile another said it "reads like there is hostility".

However, when the Sussex Royal page left comments on photos of Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis which were posted in celebration of their recent birthday's, the Sussex couple were slated for being "too informal" – they just can't catch a break can they?
