'He painted over hair': Landlord sparks outrage after renter reveals shocking footage of lazy paint job

The tension between landlords and tenants is a tale as old as time.

Recently however, one renter and TikToker has sparked outrage after sharing their landlord's lazy paint job.

Efforts to paint the tenant's apartment were unhygienically flawed, with the landlord painting right over clumps of hair rather than cleaning the space first.

In the short clip, the tenant's face appears with the caption "Me thinking the landlord special couldn't be that bad at my apartment."

She then flips the camera to reveal the landlord's lazy effort to clean prior to painting the space.

"They painted over hair" the video read.

"Yall knew what you were doing how am supposed to clean that?" the TikTok creator questioned in her caption of the video.

The 'Landlord Special' she refers to is a TikTok trend that has invited thousands of tenants to share all of the poor efforts of landlords that have attempted to repair things themselves.

Collectively, all the TikTok videos using the hashtag #landlordspecial have amassed over 200 million views.

This particular TikTok has amassed almost one million views and attracted many disgusted TikTok users.

"That's absolutely foul," one wrote beneath the video.

"We get charged a "cleaning fee" if we leave a single thing behind meanwhile they can freely do that," another added.

Other tenants shared their own horror stories, listing many gross things landlords have decided to paint over rather than clean.

"My friend had a bad mold issue and her landlord just painted over it," one shared.

"Girl they painted over flies on my ceiling," a second wrote.

"Had an old apt where the landlord painted over cheerios in the cabinet," a third added.
