Prince William and Kate Middleton send heartfelt Christmas message to those in isolation
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have sent a touching message to those isolating over Christmas this year, recognising just how tough the festive season has proved for many.
Posting to Twitter, the Cambridge's said they were keeping these people in their thoughts.
"This Christmas will be different to what so many of us had planned," the tweet read.

"From those who are alone or having to isolate away from loved ones, to the incredible people supporting our NHS and caring for those most in need — we are thinking of you. W & C," they signed off.
The message comes as the Cambridge's themselves follow COVID-19 rules, after announcing that they won't be spending Christmas with the Queen this year.
William and Kate and their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will spend their Christmas Day in Norfolk, along with members of the Middleton family, while the Queen will be at Windsor Castle with Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

Over the past week, the Queen announced she had cancelled various traditional Christmas festivities for the royal household, including their annual pre-Christmas lunch and Christmas day lunch.
It has proved a disappointing affair for the Queen, as she prepares for her first Christmas without her late husband, Prince Philip.
In her annual Christmas message, the 95-year-old monarch paid tribute to Philip, acknowledging that "Christmas can be hard for those who have lost loved ones."

The message centred around the life and memory of Philip, and included archival footage of the prince enjoying Christmas Day festivities in the past.
"For me in the months since the death of my beloved Philip, I have drawn great comfort from the warmth and affection of the many tributes to his life and work," she said.
She added: "As much as I and my family miss him, I know he would want us to enjoy Christmas," she said.
