Prince Charles pretending to ride an invisible motorbike leaves the Queen in stitches

For reasons unknown to us and maybe him, Prince Charles couldn’t resist impersonating a motorbike at a recent royal engagement...much to the amusement of his mother, Queen Elizabeth.

The royal family were in Scotland for the Braemar Gathering, which includes events such as piping, Highland dancing and tug-of-war contests.

Royal guests included Princess Anne and newly-retired Prince Philip, all of whom watched the festivities from the sidelines and appeared to be in good spirits throughout the day.

The annual games take place on the first Saturday of September each year. They have a long history - Queen Victoria first attended the Braemar Gathering in 1848. Since then it has been regularly visited by the reigning monarch and other members of the Royal Family.

Queen Elizabeth was pictured keeping warm under a traditional tartan blanket, while Charles wore a kilt with red socks.
