Pippa Middleton's Sydney honeymoon: All the details

Pippa Middleton and new husband James Matthews have enjoyed a long lunch in Sydney, after flying into the Harbour city as the next stop on their lavish honeymoon.

The newlyweds were seen enjoying a long lunch at Cottage Point Inn, overlooking the Cowan River in Sydney's North, after arriving in style to the fine-dining celebrity hot-spot, which has previously played host to Jerry Seinfeld, Cameron Diaz and Dustin Hoffmann.

They made the 50 kilometre journey by sea plane and were seen enjoying tea and coffee at Sydney Seaplanes in Rose Bay before departing on their 20 minute flight over the iconic harbour.

Restaurant owner Ally Olesen told Fairfax Media she and husband Shane, who had taken over the restaurant last year, were "surprised and flattered they chose us" but admitted the afternoon had been "chaos".

She told Daily Mail they didn't know the couple were coming till last minute.

"We had no idea they were coming. They just turned up.

"There are a lot of photographers around trying to get a picture, I don't know how she does it," she added.

While it's been reported the couple ate Kangaroo tartare, which is on the menu, Ally revealed she had recommended the duck breast with grilled plum dish.

The restaurant menu features a seven-course degustation menu, costing $140 per person for three hours and a further $75 per person with paired wines. 

It's understood Pippa's plane to the restaurant was booked under her married name, Matthews, so the company didn't realise they had some (almost royal) guests arriving.

But it seems they weren't the only ones left surprised.

After arriving to the Rose Bay sea plane jetty in a water taxi with two friends and their newborn baby, James and Pippa were reportedly 'annoyed' by the photographers following them. 

According to The Daily Telegraph, once inside James had a few polite words with some of paparazzi, who had raced into the cafe behind them to get close up shots, asking for some 'space and privacy'.

After flying back to Rose Bay following the lunch, it's understood they took another water taxi to Woolloomooloo wharf where they got into a waiting car which took them back to their hotel, believed to be the luxurious Park Hyatt Sydney.

The newlyweds, who married in a lavish English country wedding in Pippa’s hometown of Berkshire recently, have spent some time relaxing on Tetiaroa this week, a private and elite group of islands in French Polynesia.

Now, however, they’re ready to take in some city sights.

Pippa and hedge fund manager James arrived at Sydney airport on Tuesday night, reportedly flying in from New Zealand.

Then on Wednesday morning, the couple were been spotted getting onto a boat on Sydney Harbour with two friends and their newborn baby.

Local resident Steven Beale told Fairfax Media that he spotted the couple on Wednesday as he was walking to work just after 8am.

"I walked past her at the foot of the Harbour Bridge with her husband and, I think, a personal trainer.”

Pippa, who is sister of the Duchess of Cambridge and aunt to the third and fourth in line to the throne, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, married on May 20th at St. Mark's church in a beautiful ceremony surrounded by members of the royal family, including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry.

The reception was a star-studded affair, with Roger Federer making an appearance, and Prince Harry's girlfriend and Suits actress Meghan Markle also in attendance. The celebration took place in a glass marquee in Pippa's parents' garden, and The reception of the interior design featuring a host of floral decorations and a reported "enchanted Forest" theme.
