Pippa and James touch down in Darwin

Pippa Middleton and James Matthews have landed in Darwin.

The newlyweds were met by a press pack and large security presence when they touched down in the Northern Territory this afternoon about 2.30pm.

They were seen catching a plane from Sydney's domestic terminal this morning, after spending some time sightseeing there on their honeymoon.

Pippa, sister of Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, and Matthews, a hedge fund manager, tied the knot in England last month.

There stop in Darwin is believed to be the last stop of their honeymoon, after spending a week in French Polynesia, where they were seen paddleboarding and swimming.

While it is still unclear how the glamorous couple plan to spend their time in the Northern Territory, there is speculation they will visit Kakadu and Uluru, where they would spend time seeing the area's tourist attractions, including crocodiles, scenic flights and exploring the beautiful landscape.

While in Sydney, the couple were pictured jetting out of the city after a quick two-night stay in the plush Park Hyatt hotel overlooking the harbour.

Pippa and James, who spent their first week as husband and wife relaxing at Tetiaroa, a small island south of Hawaii, wasted no time in seeing the sights — even bringing some adrenaline to their break with a climb to the top of Sydney Harbour bridge.

The sporty pair donned black suits and harnesses to do the renowned 134-metre high bridge climb, and reportedly didn’t show any sign of nerves.

After, they treated themselves to a dinner at seafood restaurant 'Flying Fish', where main meals can cost up to AUD$160. They were seen holding hands as they left to head back to their hotel.

Their surprise stop in Sydney began with a long lunch at Cottage Point Inn, overlooking the Cowan River in Sydney's North. The fine-dining celebrity hot-spot, which has previously played host to Jerry Seinfeld, Cameron Diaz and Dustin Hoffmann.

It's understood Pippa's plane to the restaurant was booked under her married name, Matthews, so the company didn't realise they had some (almost royal) guests arriving.

Pippa, who is sister of the Duchess of Cambridge and aunt to the third and fourth in line to the throne, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, married on May 20th at St. Mark's church in a beautiful ceremony surrounded by members of the royal family, including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry.

The reception was a star-studded affair, with Roger Federer making an appearance, and Prince Harry's girlfriend and Suits actress Meghan Markle also in attendance. The celebration took place in a glass marquee in Pippa's parents' garden, and The reception of the interior design featuring a host of floral decorations and a reported "enchanted Forest" theme.
