Piers Morgan didn't mince his words when he blasted Meghan Markle after she apologised in court amid her legal battle with a British paper.

The Duchess of Sussex apologised to the UK Court of Appeals this week for forgetting about emails she exchanged with a palace aide, who briefed the authors of an unauthorised biography on Meghan and Prince Harry titled Finding Freedom.

Taking his fury to Twitter, the former TV host called Meghan's actions in court "shameful" and claimed he doesn't believe anything the former royal says.

"I've now had eight months to carefully reflect on my statement that I don't believe a word Meghan Markle says... and I still don't," Morgan wrote in a series of tweets.

"The 'end game' is that the Sussexes are stopped — by the Queen — from ruthlessly exploiting their royal titles for 100s of millions of dollars whilst simultaneously trashing the Royal Family & Monarchy."

"It's shameful," he added.

Meghan, 40, apologised to a judge for not mentioning the email exchange in her high-profile privacy court case against The Mail on Sunday's publisher.

"I did not have the benefit of seeing these emails and I apologise to the Court for the fact I had not remembered these exchanges at the time," Meghan told the court.

"I had absolutely no wish or intention to mislead the defendant or the Court."

Former palace aide Jason Knauf, in his witness statement, said Finding Freedom "was discussed on a routine basis" and "discussed directly with the Duchess multiple times in person and over email."

He also said the Duchess of Sussex had provided several points to share with authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand during a potential meeting, which were also discussed between the Duke of Sussex and Knauf.

The newspaper is appealing the decision it breached the duchess' privacy by publishing portions of the handwritten letter she wrote to her father Thomas Markle after her royal wedding in 2018.

Morgan's Twitter tirade comes months after the then-Good Morning Britain host stormed off set during an explosive on-air rant, in which he described the Duchess of Sussex as a "liar" following her TV interview with Oprah.

Meghan and Prince Harry personally lodged a complaint against ITV following the outburst.
